Yonder Mountain String Band - Suburban Girl (Official Video)

Yonder Mountain String Band's new single 'Suburban Girl' is an "autobiographical song about skateboards, the Midwest, and unrequited, angsty teenage emotions," says banjoist Dave Johnson.

Shot entirely in time lapse / stop motion, the 'Suburban Girl' music video is an homage to the detritus of teenage angst, beat up skateboard decks and high tops, the desire to carve into your desk, and the profound urge to skip town before time slips away completely.

Several shots were created with a cell phone, $20 tripod, a 2x4 and some kneepads. (The rest were made with an old DSLR in John Summerson's garage.)
